My promotion says Microsite Locked. How can I view it?
If you see something similar to this, then you'll need to get the Access / Passcode
The Access / Passcode
To get the promotion daily passcode, head to the Launch Control Module.
Once in there, you can copy the Passcode and paste that into the microsite locked pop-up.
You can re-generate the Passcode here if you need to.
The lock code is valid for 24 hours before it expires, and a new code is needed. This is particularly relevant if you are testing an embedded promotion.
How to test your promotions in Preview Mode
If you are testing a public promotion, everything is relatively straightforward; if you are testing a private promotion, there are potentially a couple more steps.
1. Public Promotion
On loading the Preview, you will notice that the Promotion has a banner at the top stating you are in draft mode and also indicating the type of promotion you are testing.
You can enter as normal; fill in any necessary forms, and your test data will be available in the Entry and Audience modules.
2. Private Promotion
Testing a Private Promotion requires simulating an InviteLink. When you open your Private Promotion in Draft Mode, you will again see the banner, but on the right-hand side, you'll see the settings drop-down.
Anonymous Invite
If your promotion does not have a form with data fields set to be populated by InviteLink, then you are testing an anonymous InviteLink, and you'll see something similar to this
click generate and enter as normal.
Personalized Invite
If your promotion has a form with data fields (hidden or not) that are set to be populated by InviteLink, you need to simulate testing a personalized InviteLink, so your settings drop-down will look more like this.
Fill in the required data and then click generate.
Entries that you make whilst in Draft Mode will be labeled in the Entries tab and Audience as 'Test', and these entries will not consume your entry allowance.
I have a form, but I'm not seeing them in the settings?
For a field in a form to be used in an InviteLink, you must configure this on the Enter Page of your promotion
First, go into the Builder (where you edit your promotion) and click on the Enter Page (if you turned it off, turn it back on to make this simple change, and then you can turn it off again).
Now, go edit the form. Clicking on the small icon next to the edit option will show the pop-up for visibility options. Set to InviteLink and then Save changes.
